Option 1: Mathematics

  1. Completion of the Core Curriculum and PE requirement
  2. MATH 2072, MATH 2083, MATH 2160, CSCI 1301, CSCI 1302
  3. MATH 3000, MATH 3110, MATH 4011
  4. Twelve hours of upper division MATH electives including at least one of MATH 3170, MATH 4012, MATH 5160 (but exclusive of MATH 3911 and MATH 3932)
  5. Six hours of either foreign language courses or CSCI courses with prerequisite of at least CSCI 1302
  6. Completion of 39 semester hours of upper-division courses consisting of the upper-division courses in items III--V above plus electives chosen from Mathematics or elsewhere in the College of Arts and Sciences
  7. A total of 120 semester hours (not including required PE courses)

Option 2: Applied Mathematics

  1. Completion of the Core Curriculum and PE requirement
  2. MATH 2072, MATH 2083, MATH 2160, CSCI 1301, CSCI 1302
  3. MATH 3000, MATH 3211, MATH 3411
  4. Twelve hours of upper-division MATH electives including at least one of MATH 3110, MATH 3170, MATH 4011, MATH 5160 (but exclusive of MATH 3911 and MATH 3932)
  5. Fulfillment of the requirements for an application area Minor in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Economics, or Engineering Studies
  6. Completion of 39 semester hours of upper-division courses consisting of the upper-division courses in items III--V above plus electives chosen from Mathematics, the minor field in item V, ENGL 3720, HIST 5640
  7. A total of 120 semester hours (not including required PE courses)

Option 3: Mathematics Education

  1. Completion of the Core Curriculum and PE requirement
  2. MATH 2072, MATH 2083, MATH 2160, CSCI 1301, PSYC 1101, CEUG 1010, CEUG 2100
  3. MATH 3000, MATH 3110, MATH 3211, MATH 3360
  4. Nine hours of upper division MATH electives including at least one of MATH 5160, MATH 5700 (but exclusive of MATH 3911 and MATH 3932)
  5. MATH 3932, MGSE 3351, MGSE 4412, MGSE 4630, EDUC 4711-4722-4733
  6. A total of 120 semester hours (not including required PE courses)

A Minor in Mathematics

  1. Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in a discipline other than Mathematical Sciences.
  2. MATH 2072, MATH 2083, three courses chosen from MATH 2160 and upper division MATH courses (exclusive of MATH 3911 and MATH 3932).
