Laws of Logarithms:

a(u v) = loga(u) + loga(v) {The log of a product equals the sum of the logs.}
2. log
a(u/v) = loga(u) - loga(v) {The log of a quotient equals the difference of the logs.}
3. log
a(ur ) = r loga (u)

Find the exact value of 5 ln e3 without using a calculator.

5 ln e3 = 5 . 3 Use the fact that y = ln x and y = ex are inverse functions.{i.e. ln e x = x}
