Laws of Logarithms

Laws of Logarithms:
1. log
a(u v) = loga(u) + loga(v) {The log of a product equals the sum of the logs.}
2. log
a(u/v) = loga(u) - loga(v) {The log of a quotient equals the difference of the logs.}
3. log
a(ur ) = r loga (u)

Apply the third law of exponents to each of the three terms.
  Show work. Use the first and second laws of exponents to combine the three terms into one log term.
